The Findleton Estate and Vineyard Viognier is 100% Viognier from the Honeychurch Vineyard located in the Shenandoah Valley, Amador. The grapes were hand picked, whole cluster pressed and 100% barrel fermented in 30% new French oak and aged for 8 months on its lees. Batonage (lees stirring) was performed for the first month of aging and the wine was allowed to undergo partial malolactic fermentation to retain optimum varietal character while enhancing the structure and complexity of the palate. The bouquet exhibits floral aromas of honeysuckle and jasmine along with ripe white peach, complemented by fragrances of sweet vanillin oak and toasted almond. The palate contains firm, balanced acidity, stone fruit flavors, and a persistent finish of citrus and toasty oak. Only 100 cases produced.
