“Bar .bear .a,” painted by Pamela Findleton, on an inspirational whim brought forth in anticipation of the long awaited Findleton Estate and Vineyard Barbera, and is featured as the label. The Barbera grapes were grown at Matson Vineyard in Pleasant Valley. The grapes were hand picked, gently destemmed and crushed, and fermented with 25% whole berries. The wine was aged for 18 months in a combination of new and neutral French and American oak. The Barbera is a medium bodied wine with fragrances of raspberries, white chocolate, crème brûlée, and subtle floral aromas. The mid palate is full and rich with great acidity and flavors of red fruit, vanilla bean, sweet pipe tobacco and cinnamon, and a long finish of toasty oak.
