2006 Findleton El Dorado Cabernet Sauvignon "Tahoe Blue" Sold Out
The 2006 Findleton Estate and Vineyard Cabernet “Tahoe Blue,” was inspired by Pamela’s “Blue Tahoe, Black Bear, Red Wine”painting, appearing on the label. The “Tahoe Blue” is a small volume barrel selection of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the cool, high altitude Stonehaven Vineyard. The grapes were hand picked, gently destemmed and crushed, and fermented with 30% whole berries. The wine was barrel aged for 18 months with 20% new oak. This elegant Cabernet is perfumed with aromas of blue fruits, rose petals, and candied cherries. It is light to medium bodied in structure, with finely woven tannins and flavors of Italian plum, mixed berries, toasted oak, and a long, peppery finish.
